There's a pad at each of three exits. The fourth has a corridor to connect back to the central room of the base. A different base in that game has two side by side, both connected directly to the glass cuboids of the main room of the building. Note that this was broken on the PS4 (possibly elsewhere) for the longest time.

The landing pad is awarded when your base computer hits 98% recovering the files. Be warned, several people have reported the final step of this quest is bugged. Nothing happens when going to another system to find the final location. You might want to back up your save file before triggering the base computer again after you get the landing pad.
